Team Active Plus Raises Over $7,000 at the United Airlines NYC Half Marathon
This year, Team Active Plus proudly participated in the United Airlines NYC Half Marathon, bringing together a dedicated group of runners who took on the challenge in support of youth health, wellness, and leadership development. Through months of training, fundraising, and preparation, our team demonstrated an extraordinary commitment to creating opportunities for young people across the communities we serve.
We are grateful to our seven runners—Adrian Tuazon, Carlos Shields, Charles Russell, Julian Abreu-Geigel, Kelsey Edwards, Rondel King, and Susan Salinas—who represented Active Plus on race day. Their dedication extended far beyond the finish line, as each runner helped raise awareness and critical support for our mission.
Together, the team raised more than $7,000 to support Active Plus programs that provide youth with access to fitness, nutrition, mindfulness, and leadership development opportunities. These funds will help us continue delivering impactful programming that empowers young people to lead healthier, more active lives while developing the skills and confidence needed to succeed.
The United Airlines NYC Half Marathon was more than a race—it was an opportunity for our supporters to come together around a shared commitment to youth development and community wellness. We are incredibly thankful to our runners, donors, and supporters whose generosity and determination made this achievement possible.
Congratulations to Adrian, Carlos, Charles, Julian, Kelsey, Rondel, and Susan for their outstanding accomplishment and for going the distance in support of Active Plus. Their efforts continue to strengthen our programs and expand opportunities for the youth we serve.
